The Owner

Same person at your door, every visit.

Ian and a woman in sunglasses smiling in a selfie on a beach.

Ian started Yard Patrol and then Groundkeep in Ferndale in 2026, after ten years in freight, moving trucks and keeping promises to people who'd never met him. There's no crew and no rotation. The person who opens your back gate this week is the one who opened it last week, not a stranger with a truck.

Freight runs on one rule: show up when you said you would. It's the rule here too. Your cleanup day is set when you sign up, and every visit ends with a photo of your gate shut, so you never have to wonder if anyone came.

One person on every visit means your yard gets known: the latch that sticks, the dog who waits by the back door. Tools are disinfected before your yard, so nothing from another yard comes in on them.

In winter, weekly and twice-a-week memberships also get the walkways shoveled and salted, never the driveway. And when the house needs looking after too, Groundkeep is the same person at the door.
